Our crewing package includes any or all of the services listed below, structured to meet any client’s individual requirements:

1. Recruitment

  • searching, screening and selection of specialists to be employed on board the vessels
  • personnel certificate monitoring including references check
  • checking the performance appraisal forms of all required ranks as per Crew Manual Sect. 04 Recruitment of Seafarers

2. Pre-Employment

  • assessments for Competency and English daily conversation + maritime English Abilities
  • evaluation of competency and experience (computer test)
  • verification of crew experiences by mentors
  • pre-employment medical examination, incl. D&A and other tests as per Owners requirements
  • implementation and follow-up of the drug and alcohol policies

3. Employment

  • documentation checking, arrangement, pre-joining briefing as per company form L-04
  • briefing on principals policies and regulation
  • visa and travel arrangements for on- and off-signing crew
  • briefing on ships operation, safety and procedures
  • supply of working gear
  • flag state license arrangement if required by Owners

4. Retention Management

  • crew appraisal for re-employment and additional training and refreshing courses
  • crew planning as per updated Company Rotation Plan

5. Training and Support for Cadets

L-Stream Ltd is committed to promoting the professional development of young seafarers. .

As a prerequisite for consideration, candidates must be graduates of a three year

academic program from a maritime academy. To qualify for acceptance into the cadet program, candidates must pass a rigorous screening and selection process inside of academy and as well in our office. Upon successful completion of this phase, a cadet is then assigned to an L-Stream vessel for first contract to gain shipboard experience as a trainee junior officer.

On board, the master or chief engineer is responsible for the training plan and ensuring the cadet is afforded opportunities to demonstrate and document tasks and competencies achieved.

The positive performance appraisals and an additional period at sea-services are required before even being recommended for the next contract or next position.
